Hello, love. You have grown so much.
Tomorrow you’ll be 11 weeks young.
You listen to your dad sing songs, and you sing along in your own way. You are really experimenting with your vocal chords. You have a lovely voice!
You smile a lot. You giggle some, awake and in your sleep. You like to face out and watch everything. Your eyes are still wide open, taking things in, learning this new world.
You use your abs to move your body. You are determined to get up and walk somewhere. Where do you want to go? What do you want to see?
I had no clue what it would feel like to be a mom. It feels heavy, and by that I mean important, serious, epic, to continue our line of humans on this spinning rock in space. It’s also fun and silly. It feels wonderful to be your mom, to cuddle you in my arms while you nurse, to rub your fuzzy perfect head, to have your soft strong fingers grip mine. My heart is a quickly expanding universe. How large will it become?
We made you, your dad and I, but you are not ours. You are completely your own.
I know you are a strong, loving soul. You will do great things. Everything you need is within you.
Love & light,
